01
Independent 3PL fulfillment versus marketplace programs
A third-party warehouse can hold stock for several sales channels and prepare merchant-dispatched orders under agreed workflows. Marketplace-operated fulfillment programs have their own eligibility, inbound, stock and commercial rules. These are different operating models and should not be treated as interchangeable.
Gurulog is an independent logistics provider. This page does not claim official Amazon or Mercado Livre affiliation, marketplace certification or participation in a particular fulfillment program. Confirm your seller account's current options directly with the marketplace before choosing a warehouse model.
02
Map listings to a consistent SKU record
The same product may have different listing identifiers across marketplaces and your own store. Map those identifiers to the warehouse SKU before orders are released. Variations such as size, color and bundle composition need explicit records so similar listings do not generate picking errors.
Agree how stock availability and reservations are exchanged between systems. A shared inventory pool requires coordination to avoid selling the same unit twice. Integration scope depends on the seller account, existing systems and supported order workflows, rather than a universal promise of automatic synchronization.
03
Match labels and dispatch rules to the channel
An order's packaging, label and dispatch instructions need to remain associated with the correct channel. Define who supplies the label, how carrier handoff is recorded and how exceptions are escalated. A direct-store shipment and a marketplace shipment may use different information even for the same SKU.
Seller performance requirements and cutoff rules can change. Evaluate the current account requirements during onboarding and agree the operational timetable separately. Do not promise marketplace deadlines until order release, packing capacity and carrier collection have been confirmed.
04
Keep invoicing and seller responsibilities clear
Marketplace fulfillment does not remove the seller's obligations for product listings, fiscal documentation, customer service and platform compliance. Identify the entity responsible for issuing required documents and ensure the warehouse receives the information needed to dispatch correctly.
Imported products must have a lawful import and local commercial setup before entering the warehouse. Gurulog can coordinate operational requirements with appointed advisers, but a logistics contract alone does not establish a seller of record or an importer of record in Brazil.
05
Evaluate a multi-channel operation before switching
Share the channels you sell on, active SKU count, monthly orders by marketplace, average items per order and any peak periods. Include existing ERP connections, label generation, cancellation handling and return requirements. A small live-order test can reveal differences that a product catalog alone will not show.
Compare independent fulfillment with marketplace programs using all relevant costs and restrictions. Consider storage, handling, packaging, carrier charges, inventory transfers and the need to serve B2B or your own website from the same stock. The best fit depends on your channel mix rather than the marketplace name alone.
